University of Southern California researchers have developed a flexible thin film transparent material of carbon atoms, and used it to create organic solar cells. The new material, called graphene, a layer LP154WX4 of conductive by the excellent carbon atoms, also is a thickness of several atoms. Related research results have been published in ACS Nano on.

 

This graphene conversion efficiency of organic solar cell is less than the silicon solar cells. Per square meter of silicon solar cells can 1000-watt solar energy into 14 watts of power, while the same area of organic solar cells can only be translated graphene out 1.4 watts of power. However, graphene low cost organic solar cells, and good flexibility, so the researchers optimistic about their prospects, such as organic solar cells that graphene can be made into Dell Inspiron 910 Screen  household curtains, and even made clothes will be generating. Now researchers have been able to make graphene a variety of sizes, of which the largest is 150 square centimeters.

Classification of lithium-ion battery
